GSI Example
- Alternate Cover for material-saving carton
The
graphic used in this GSI cover consists of a rectangular foreground element (the
traditional Pizza Hut sign) superimposed over a spherical background element (a
combination of a metaphorical Earth and a Round Table with a checkered tablecloth).
The rectangular foreground element, which is enhanced through Graphics-Structure
Integration, projects strength and forthrightness. The spherical
background element projects integrity and completeness. The Earth
similarity connotes universality and global acceptance. The Roundtable
similarity connotes togetherness and communal dining experience.
The checkered pattern connotes tradition and old-world values. And
the Italian green connotes freshness, naturalness, and life force.
The entire graphic is unified and reinforced through the cover's contour which
surrounds and incorporates both elements and ties them together into a unique
and powerful package presentation. In short, you can see how it's possible, through
GSI, to create a unique but tradition-loaded image even on an unconventional (cost-saving)
octagon carton.
