GSI
Example 16 Unlike
the prior examples which are mock-ups, this one is an actual in-use pizza box.
The company is a high-quality Canadian franchise firm. Using GSI, the rear wall
steam vent has been adapted to configure with the company's signature top hat,
thereby making the top hat project above and beyond the rear edge of the carton.
This corresponds to a similar configuration that appears in the company's storefront
sign, thereby conceptually tying together the pizza box and sign. The rear corners
of the box have been turned inward with a gentle curve to draw the viewer's line
of vision to the distinctive top hat. Even though this is a subtle use of GSI,
it's still effective in helping the company achieve its brand-building objectives.
