The purpose of the Green Pizza Box Program is: To provide a GREEN packaging option for the pizza industry. The design commission for each box is one percent (1%) of the factory price of the box. This commission will be included in the price of the box. So, the cost-saving figures shown below are NET of the one percent design commission — meaning, they're derived with the one percent commission already factored in.

The material-savings and cost-savings percentages given below are averages. Material and cost savings percents vary from box-size to box-size and also by type of flute (i.e., B-flute or E-flute) used for making the box. These percentages are in comparison to the traditional pizza box presently used by most pizza companies — otherwise known as the “walker lock box.”

2 - D-Saver™ Box

Greenest, Lowest-cost Fully-functional Non-fixed-corner D-box There Is.™

D-Saver Pizza Box

Some box-makers refer to this shape of box as a “D-type box.” However, this Correll Concepts version of D-type box not only saves in natural resources and cost over the traditional square pizza box, it also saves in resources and cost over most other D-type boxes presently on the market. For example, as compared to the D-type box currently used by Domino's Pizza, this new D-Saver™ Box saves 4% in material and 2% in cost.

•  Folding Procedure: Completely different from the folding procedure of the traditional (walker lock) pizza box. It's folded up using the same procedure as is used for folding the current Domino's Pizza pizza box. This might cause some folks to believe that the box would be hard to fold up. But it's actually no harder than folding a traditional pizza box. Here's what you need to know. Domino's Pizza stores fold up over 200 million units of D-type box per year.
