First Pizzeria Conveyor Oven

The first conveyor oven used in the pizzeria and restaurant industries.
Originally called the WonderOven, it was invented by Harold Wells, founder/owner of Black Body Corporation (no longer in existence). The oven was of unitized construction and consisted of seven decks that used a pusher-arm conveyor system. It saw first commercial use in Pizzuti's Pizza, Westland, MI - May, 1976. Two years later, at the suggestion of John Correll, the original user, the company changed the oven's name to CTX Cooking System.
